Deborah Schiller MSC, LPC, CSAT-S taught school for several years before earning her Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education. She spent over two decades working with children of all ages and their families. After the death of her husband she earned her Master of Science in Counseling from University of South Alabama. She was a therapist at the Meadows, focusing on sexual addiction and personality disorders. When Patrick Carnes left the Meadows to start his own treatment center for sexual addiction (Gentle Path at Pine Grove) she joined him, earned her Licensed Professional Counselor status, and became a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. Deborah spent two years at Pine Grove treating patients who were professionals struggling with personality disorders and addictions. The last four years she has worked with sex addicts and their family members, at first as a therapist and then as the clinical director of Gentle Path. Today Deborah divides her time between Alabama, Mississippi and Texas providing individual and group counseling with family members of all ages and facilitates intensive workshops dealing with sex addiction and co-sex addiction.
