Kelly Flynn started her running career after college and has been involved in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training (TNT) program for over 13 years. She has run in many events including notable races such as the Boston, Maine and Dublin marathons. Kelly loves coaching for TNT and she first signed up to honor a friend who had lost his battle with cancer. Initially she didn’t know if she could accomplish the task. She had the motivation but not a clue on how to run – much less train for long distance running. When Kelly crossed the finish line she felt such a sense of accomplishment and was thrilled to have completed the run in honor of her late friend. Since that first marathon, she signed up to volunteer, mentor other participants and eventually ran other marathons for TNT. In 2005, Kelly was asked to coach one of the TNT teams and she’s been involved since then.
