Stanley Rak started Foodfacts.com after years of noticing a significant amount of confusion and misinformation about the ingredients in every day foods. He found that most consumers were unaware of the “hidden ingredients,” or ingredients within ingredients, and that nutritional values and content were more of a mystery than not. In his previous business, Kar Parts, Stanley developed and eventually sold the computer-based cataloging system used across the nation’s automotive stores today. This technical, data-driven background allowed him to successfully create a comprehensive database of over one hundred thousand food products, complete with their ingredients, nutrition information, and more. Now, with a decade of research and experience behind them, Foodfacts.com is the leading internet source for nutrition and ingredient data. Their members form a strong, conscientious community of consumers eager to know what is really in their food.
