Joseph James Chiaro, MD, F.A.A.P. is a pediatrician at Tallahassee Pediatrics, Inc. He graduated from University of Florida, Gainesville School of Medicine. He is board certified by the America Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida at Gainesville. He is the former Deputy State Health Officer and Deputy Secretary for Children’s Medical Services for the Florida Department of Health. He has been awarded four grants to study Cystic Fibrosis. He is published in the American Journal of the Disease of Children and The Journal of Pediatrics. He was Outstanding Teacher of the Year at the Department of Pediatrics in Orlando Regional Medical Center in 1987 and received the Distinguished Service Award from the Central Florida Chapter, March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation in 1988.
