
Ma’yun Taner is the daughter of conservative Dutch Catholic immigrants who migrated to Australia with her older siblings in 1953. She is a retired radiographer and currently serves as an aged caregiver. Over the years, she has been involved in various community organizations such as the Lions Club and a youth indigenous group. Taner describes her life as being a search for truth and identity. She is currently working on her second book, which is about fear.
