Laurie Sadowski’s love of food began at a young age, but her creativity in the kitchen began when diagnosed with celiac disease. This soon led to self-publishing a gluten- and casein-free cookbook, Mission in the Kitchen. Adopting a vegan diet further fueled Laurie’s foodie fire, leading to winning the vegetarian category in a national recipe cook-off and becoming a vegan food columnist for her local newspaper. Her love of food, health, and helping others drove her to write a series of gluten-free cookbooks that also addressed other common food allergies. The Allergy-Free Cook Bakes Bread (2011) is the first book in the series. The Allergy-Free Cook Bakes Cakes and Cookies was just released. The Allergy-Free Cook Bakes Pies and Desserts will be released in late 2013.
